hello all and happy april <3 (ignore that it's already the 14th) been waiting a minute till the update is out for everyone but if you missed it, you can play it here! I've just uploaded a quick patch that should fix some of the bugs a few of you have reported <3 at the bottom of this devlog, I'll be putting a read more about everything added to the game with this most recent update. (so as not to spoil.)

with all that taken care of, let's talk about everything that got done in March, and everything I'm planning to tackle throughout the rest of this month.

this month i focused primarily on the scene at the law office, giving Nash/Rose the debrief of everything that's happened so far with Doctor Sokolov and the Children of Cain. Writing it took a little bit out of me just because of the sheer amount of variation that was involved there. In total, there are fifteen different versions of that scene (twelve of which are playable with this update.) From there I worked on the beginnings of your time at the casino with Nash, and updated some things about the player's past and identity!

Also as an aside, I've relaunched the game on the public sphere, keeping the old demo private for patron's usage. I think this version looks a lot cleaner and I'm a lot happier with this as the public version so unfortunately you will have to play through again (apologies)!

moving ahead, my goal is to keep things a little linear (FOR NOW!) My plan is to first focus on that Nash friendship route and get you out of the Casino and into your meeting with the Sokolovs and to the end of chapter three. From there, I'll start work on Chapter Four, (which besties. is like. a huge, pivotal chapter.) and once that's finished, I'll be closing the demo and going back to add those extra routes as I'm working on the rest of the game.

I'm really excited to work on Nash's casino scene (like I've been doing) because it's the first sort of companion milestone scene in the game <3 I've coded a special mechanic for it and have included a few references to some other ifs out there in it!

With this little patch, I've fixed some typos and coding errors and also made the relationships tab available to mobile users!
